Hi, I've seen a lot of things you posted, they're very helpful, especially for starters like me. I don't know about other games, Topspin2 was the first game I tried to backup. It was successful. I already played it on my xbox. Are those 2 games (Fuzion Frenzy 2 and Star Trek) the only games experiencing this problem? Thanks for your info!

Hi All, I have bought a samsung 162c drive, flashed with kreon's firmware and burning with a Philips dvdr1660p1 writer. I am burning copies from originals perfectly fine but if I burn from an already burnt copy, it doesn't work. I remember reading back through the forum and "simple" said it can be done.

I have made enough coasters to put on pub tables at the moment.

Tried all sorts of ways like extracting the game.iso and the ss.bin file and merging before trying again but no luck. I have noticed that if u use schtrom, you can use stealth v3.0 on originals but won't work for an already copied copy. If u use schtrom v2.0, it seems to work fine from a copy so follow the same process as an original but the burnt copy shows on the 360 to insert the cd in a 360. Its playing the PC video files on the first few sectors of the cd but nothing more. As I say, originals backup fine. Break layer not changed. still 1913760 and image size after converting to nme format is still 7,705,657,344. Same as originals.

Bald on one side of head from pulling hair out. Any ideas on backing up already backed up 360 games?

Its OK, Ive worked it out.

As I was typing the last post, I was burning the cd from doing an extraction of the game.iso and the ss.bin file. Placed both in xbox 360 ss merger and both the compatabilities came up in red colour even though both the game.iso and ss.bin files were from the same disk. When complete using CloneCD this time rather than ImgBurn, worked fine.

Posted that it didn't work because usually these things dont work for me so have now somersaulted round the room several times, banged my big toe and still had a go on Perfect dark Zero. Checked the CD twice so I wasn't playing the original backup instead but nope, its my newly backed up one.

What is the better way to burn than xbc? I use xbc and the write is fast but the burn takes forever. Sometimes it burns at .4x which takes hours. I also used Schtrom with image burn but it didn't always work. What is the fastest way to burn/write with xbc creating the image? Can I use Nero or Image Burn to write? Do I need to use NME to convert and/set the sector size? Thanks for the help!!!!

Does Fab do 360 backups? I know PSP and ipod..

you can use imgburn yes or clonecd(two of the best), i use this aswell as xbc , but remember your burn speed depends on the quality of your media , would you burn at 8x if you could and risk making a coaster i wouldnt dual layer media is too exspensive especially verbatim .
personally i buy cheaper media and set the speed at 2.4 it takes 45 mins to burn i surf the net and write stuff in between for tutorials etc so time isnt an issue a playable backup is

no modchip is needed they are a waste of money

its simply a case of finding out what dvd drive is inside your console by taking it apart which voids the warranty then flashing the firmware to enable it to play backups . when you find the drive model i will add more info for you on the flash

as for the game backups thats the easy bit if you are willing to spend a few quid depending on where you live or simply do the hotswap method to gain the files .

but i would flash the drive of the xbox360 first then look into the rest.

Hi there, as I can see, I can´t backup from an original 360 game because I have an LG DVD burner (DVDInfo told me that it can burn DVD+R DL discs), so my question is, can I copy 360 backups? What I mean is, can I make a backup from a 360 backup? That was what I used to do with my XBOX, copy from xbox backups with DVD decrypter, but I don´t know if it will work with 360 backups, can somebody tell me how to do it please?, step by step, thanks.

I have a sony dvd dl burner. I have a couple of games that I was able to put into my pc but when I burn them to a memorex dl dvd the xbox does not read them. Do I need different burner dldvds or what? I've gone through about 5 dl's already. I'm knew at this and to this site any advice would be appriciated. THANKS

it depends on your setup and of course your burner , but if you have the dosh you cant go far wrong with verbatim and this brand is indeed an excellent alrounder

I've tried to change the book type on image burn. But that opiton is not available because it not picking up the sony dvd dru-810. I was told that I would need to change the book type on the burner itself. The only thing is that I have no Idea on what to do. I don't even know what files to use. I need help really bad.
