Nero Transfert test, good or bad???

Since I can't use Kprobe and the Nero Quality test I did a transfert test like it was suggested in another topic I read.

I do have some small spikes in the speed test.

Is it good or bad???

I did the burn with a Pioneer DVR-108 and the media is a Verbatim DVD+R 8X (MCC003).

Re: Nero Transfert test, good or bad???

2 more tests...

Done with DVD-R RitekG05 with the same pioneer DVR-108.

One done @ 6x and the other @ 12X

The 6X looks good (2nd one) if the first test done was good but what about the 12X (first one)????

Re: Nero Transfert test, good or bad???

was the pc running anything in the background while testing? thats usually what happens when i see a pic like that. If that's the case, then i beleive they're decent burns.

Even polling another drive on the same cable can cause a blip

Yo-

All those curves look perfectly acceptable to me-

Would probably be better with antivirus turned off though-

Re: Nero Transfert test, good or bad???

Yo-

Burning is very CPU usage intensive-

Best burns occur when antivirus turned off and the 'puter left alone while burnin' (and using good quality media)

I thought it was very IO intensive not CPU.

It depends on. Sometimes the IO is CPU intensive. But you wouldn't feel much difference since you have quite a powerful CPU.

Give CD-Speed high or real-time priority in the Task Manager or other tools.

Re: Nero Transfert test, good or bad???

Yo-

I took my CPU intensive comment from CD-DVD Speed as shown-I consider the CPU usage of 8% to 48% as shown to be intensive-
