KProbe vs Nero CD-DVD Speed?

Hello,

Just wondering if Nero CD-DVD v 3.01 Speed Disc Quality Test is just as good as K-Probe 2.2.2 in terms of determining PO/PI errors?

The reason I ask is because KProbe is designed for Lite-On DVD Burners only, and I do not have any Lite-On DVD Burners.

I have HP 300c, 200i, and BTC 1004@1008 DVD Burners and was wondering how reliable the scans are compared to K-Probe scans.

Thanks.

Re: KProbe vs Nero CD-DVD Speed?

According to user experiences in the BTC forums, the BTC drives themselves seem to report slightly higher PIE/PIF than the LiteOn writers.
Of course, don't let this deter you from scanning your discs.
You will still be able to compare all of YOUR scans with one another and determine the relative burn quality and the best media to use with your drive.

(By the way, Kprobe still works fine on BTC writers)

Re: KProbe vs Nero CD-DVD Speed?

Thanks for the information. So from what you are saying, pick one utility to scan the discs and stick with it.
Would you rather use Nero CD-DVD Speed or Kprobe?
