Total HD disc format looks to be a total bust

Like we did not see this coming.

Warner's plans to straddle the fence on the HD disc format war have hit a snag, as the company has decided to shelve its vaunted Total HD hybrid format. Announced at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show, Total HD was slated to arrive on store shelves by early 2008.

Re: Total HD disc format looks to be a total bust

Aye!
It Cost's to much to satisfy consumers when they can just back one format and screw everyone over when the chosen formats fails & the consumers have to buy their entire library a second time on the successful format.
They can't lose!

Of course, once Blu-ray/HDDVD writers & media drops in price, consumers will talk with their feet & piracy of HD content will balloon again.

Admitting that you've illegally downloaded movies/songs and need help to process/burn is comparable to robbing a bank, and walking into the bank the next day holding the bags of money to deposit them into your account.
Don't be surprised if people laugh at you when you make the headlines.
