Rambus displays XDR memory

Rambus used the Intel Developer Forum for a comprehensive demonstration of its XDR memory modules. The modules shown were clocked at 3.2 GHz and provided a bandwidth of 12.8 GByte per second. The Cell processor, to appear in Sony's next generation Playstation, will be Rambus' first large customer to integrate XDR devices - which initially will also be clocked at 3.2 GHz. Rambus says that XDR will scale to 8 GHz over time and currently runs in the lab at "more than 3.2 GHz".

Re: Rambus displays XDR memory

Hm. I thought Samsung already started the production, at least samples, of course, in partnership with Rambus.
