How to save a donkey that fell into a well (and solve the problem once and for all).

Bury it.
When you throw dirt into the well, the donkey gets covered in dirt, but shakes it off.
Then pats the dirt down as it climbs up.

You get the donkey back & the well is gone.

Although, you hear strange stories about those ... arrangements that you get in rural areas .....

I am of course referring to the rural fire brigades, which are usually run by volunteers, at least in oz.
