| Broadcast Flag: Still A Work In Progress Broadcast Flag: Still A Work In Progress June 15, 2006 By Tony Sanders Source Negotiations over an audio "broadcast flag" are coming down to the wire as the NAB and the RIAA continue working out the finer details of a compromise, according to Senate staffers who spoke with Billboard Radio Monitor. The hope is that the final version of broadcast flag language will be wrapped up by the end of the week. Sen. Ted Stevens, R., Alaska, has scheduled a markup for next Thursday (June 22) on the Communications Reform Bill (S. 2686) which is supposed to include language covering a broadcast flag. Broadcast flags digitally identify content to prevent unintended reception.

| Re: Broadcast Flag: Still A Work In Progress I have an idea to increase RIAA & MPAA profits -> Stop wasting time on figuring out new ways of f@#$%g consumers! The profits will increase as labour costs are down, even without an increase in sales
