when i try to burn a cdrw with benq 822a dvd writer, it writes at at around 3.3x(based on the time it took) (suppose to be 10x), is something wrong? i used a samsung cd rw 650mb rated at 10x

the drive is using firmware version B3BC.

also with nero, its says in the info section, "ASPI is not installed" in a yellow box

what is ASPI and should i install the Nero ASPI?

how do i change the firmware version of the dvd drive, can some1 give step by step instructions?

well, for the cdrw writing, i only tried it once, dvd+r/rw works fine, ill try to burn a normal cd and see how it goes

Re: Some questions with benq 822a and nero

-yes try installing aspi-drivers.
-activate udma for burner and harddisc
-b3bc is long outdated. Where did you get the drive from with this old firmware??
-download B3IC from Benq and doubleclick. Is that difficult?
-try another cd-rw. Set the speed in nero to 10x. Here it works like a charm.
-Are you sure the media is not 4x. Looks a little bit like that

Who really cares about the speed? As long as it's quality right?
