Out of the blue my 1620 oem started to get this error
Session fixation error Could not perform end of Disc-at-once.
i tryed diffrent media with the same result.
defraged the hd ,ran virus scan and still no luck.

it can burn cdr's fine thou

- please note the first error-message concerns the media - however, there seems to be a lot of faffing-around with the formal structure of this disk: is it a home-authored DVD?

I had the same problem using a Samsung TS-H552B DVD +- RW/R and Verbatim DVD-R media.
I upgraded the firmware on the Samsung from T04 to T06 and the problem went away

Since you have RecordNow also installed, can you test to see if it experiences an error while burning the same job? This would help to determine if there is a hardware problem or maybe that the problem was really a software-inspired error.

Since the drive was originally a generic and the log indicates a possible connectivity error, I have a few questions.
Is it operated as Master of the secondary IDE channel alone on a high quality 80 wire ribbon cable?
Is the motherboard Bios set to auto detect with auto type the master of secondary ide so that it will load full support?
Is the secondary master running at UDMA 2 as seen in Windows Device Manager?
Is there any problem-causing 3rd party IDE drivers in use or are you using the standard Microsoft drivers that come with Windows?
