why is pif, pie so high:

Have you only done one burn? What's your burn speed?

The ProdiscF01 is not noted as a particularly high quality media. Mind you, it is a good deal better than Princo, but definitely not in the same class as Toyo Yuden. With that said, this is not a bad scan, at least as far as I can tell from what you posted. The true test is whether it will play back smoothly in your settop player. Have you tried that?

Looks like a surprisingly good burn for that media. I'm impressed. So far I don't see any evidence that the 1620 does better with +R than -R. It seems to be about the same, despite the claims of others.

i think 1620 will take any cheap +R and burn, but not all cheap -Rs.
