Proud new owner of a 1640, was flashing a mistake?

Hi guys.
I'm a proud new owner of a DW1640 after having a not so wonderful time with a Liteon LDW-811S (as shown here)
I got the drive with the BSLB firmware. I started reading the thread about the new NB firmware and flashed it.
But as i read on i saw users that weren't so happy with the NB flash afterall and they said that they were happy to stick with the LB firmware.
Was i too quick upgrading?
Is it true that flashing back to LB leaves my drive with the "bad" things from the NB flash?

sambucca,
You will need to try out BSNB yourself as every drive is different. If you have problem with the new firmware, theoretically flashing back to BSLB will return your drive to its original state.

I have no problems with the N flash. Burns all my media with good results.

I am not, however, a perfectionest and require that I have PIF's that are 4 points lower than the other firmware. As long as it is a good burn then I am happy.

With the new firmware, BSNB, you will be able to use Qscan. In Qsuite, the Qscan, would lockup my computer with the older firmwares.

BSNB is a no-go for me.

I use BSMB actually (that most epople don't like).

BSNB simply will not read PTP DL DVDs. It just sees the drive as empty.

see reply 275 and 276

I guess I'm waiting for BSOB or whatever comes next.
