Hi everyone. I hope this is the write forum to post but I thought I'd give it a shot. I just installed a Cyberhome DVD+/-R/RW+DL (DX162D-A) on a Dell Dimension 8250 (Win XP). I swapped out the main DVD-ROM drive for this new drive. It installed fine I was able to launch some installation applications but when I try to play my games (Battlefront, etc) the drive just spins and eventually times out. One time I got an error message saying to go to securom.com/emulation but I am running purchased (original) discs. Any idea why this drive wouldn't read these types of discs? I haven't even attempted to try and use the drive to burn anything. By the way, I flashed the firmware up to 120F according to the Cyberhome website. Any help is much appreciated!!
