Problem with new DW1620.....

OK, I burned about 10 DVD's with this drive. Previously i have LG GSA-4082B, which was excellent, but nowdays it not support new media.... so i bought BENQ DW1620, seeing here excellent review, and user comments, and update firmware to B7V9.
Here are some interesting and dissapointing result I have with Ritek R03 media:
Notice that is not recognized by my DVD-ROM drive, and Benq says it have capacity 8191.63 GB????????? And Benq do not recognize media code, as You can see neither with DVDInfoPro, or Nero CD Speed.

Other thing that dissapointed me is DVD+RW problems. I burned one Verbatim DVD+RW @4x, and one Memorex DVD+RW @4x, but they are not recognized by Benq nor Asus DVD-ROM. It says: no inserted disc.... I have read that Benq have some problems with DVD+RW, but this is VERY BIG problem.
So, is it better to use older firmware for DVD+RW?
And did anyone have idea what happened to Ritek R03, after this burn.... or I have to change my drive, because I am dissapoint now.
Thanx!!!

Re: Problem with new DW1620.....

I don't understand what You want to say... Of course I ejected the disc, and try to read it on DVD-ROM. Even when I now load this Ritek R03 situation is the same.
Any idea?

Re: Problem with new DW1620.....

Well, you are the first one having a 3 Layer disk, Layer breaks at 8 GB -> 24 GB
Do you get the same problem with disks burned before on your LG drive ?
Does DVDIdentifier display the same nonsence ?

That is not what I ment. Post the same cdspeed and DVDInfopro screenshots read out on your Benq of the same media burned on your LG drive to compare the results.

Re: Problem with new DW1620.....

The DVDIdentifier output is fine, obviously your drive read the right data.
Nice screenshots, but not the screenshots I have requested . I simply what to see the same screenshots as in your first post from a disk burned on your LG and read by your Benq, so see if this is a burning or reading problem.

I've had the best luck with my 1620 and the B7P9 firmware, for what it is worth.

So, anyone got this media (Verbatim DVD+RW MKM 002), or RicohjpnW11 DVD+RW to work normal?
