| Phillips DVDR824 P1.5 Phillips DVDR824 P1.5 ok ok its old skool but it like new to me cost me £100 from pc world back in 2003 ish hardly used due to it not writing -R dvds well its back out of storage need to get it flashed :> i have tryed alot of threads read alot but no sucsess it says drive cant be updated and fails.. sum checks say all go but when i click flash fails it works as it did havent broke it yet :> but i realy would love to have it writeing dvd -R any speed i have even tryed to roll back to p1.2 as i updated it my self to p1.5 back in 2003 i beleave any help so much appreciated Thx binksy |

| Re: Phillips DVDR824 P1.5 So no one remembers or has the firmware to make this crap Phillips DVDR824 P1.5 to write -R i remember philips wanted $7.50 to do it but i missed the link and when i try its dead or i would of payed for it but im sure there is still a flash/firmware that can be done for this all i have tried have failed |

| Re: Phillips DVDR824 P1.5 Hi Binksy and welcome to our forum. You could try this file, I think you might be able to flash your drive with the P3.3 firmware. (And then use the official firmware update from 3.x to P3.4). Remember you are (cross)flashing your drive on your own risks.

Nope no luck with it think i did try that one well it could be the flash memory has corupted heres a screen shot of the errors if anyone can tell what they mean other than it hasent worked :> ![]() | |
