BenQ 1640 is out of stock on ZZF, but they still have some oft he 1620, which is very good

You can buy the BenQ 1650 under Norwood brand at compusa or you can get the 1655 under Connect Brand at Compusa, make sure you get the lightscribe version of the Connect. Try those first, if no luck, then go for the Samsung drive, 18X for around $30, very decent drive.

The 1620 appears to perform very similar to the 1640 so I think that would be as good of an option as any. Just make sure you order one right away if you are interested, as they will probably be out of stock soon.

Unless you need DVD-RAM, the 1620/1640/1650/1655 make great all-around drives. They burn well, make good drives for testing media, the are solid readers and read fast. Although the 1620 is considered a couple of generations 'old' compared to current drives, it's still one of the better all around drives you can buy.
