Nero only shows max write speed of 2.4x - Club CDFreaks

I just got a new OEM 1620 with a G7C9 FW. I flashed it right to B7S9 using the .cvt file. Everything flashed fine but Nero only allows me to select a max write speed of 2.4x for DVDs and 40x for CDs. Any idea of what could be causing this?

Do you have a dvd disk in your drive?

No I'm out of dvd-r's but I figured that when I had a blank cd-r in there it should show a max write speed of 48x due to the upgraded FW.

Mine doesn't show speed selection until i put a disk in..........probably same as yours will when you do get some blank dvd's. Nero won't know what speed to let you select till it sees a disk. Hope this helps
