Firmware update loses all burner function...

Hello,

I have a Philips DVDRW824K Recorder and since I upgraded the firmware from 3.0 to 3.4, I lost the capability of recording any type of device and any type of media (CD/DVD). It doesn't recognize any type of media

I Have a AMD Duron Pentium Processor 700Mhz with 320MB RAM, and i have installed Nero 6.0.

What can i do to solve my problem? Does anyone has the 3.0 firmware version that i can install again to regain access to my DVD Recorder??

Re: I need some help

I'm fairly new here, but your unit is a PC based burner right?
then you need to ask your qeustion in a different forum, as this is for the standalone DVD recorders. Try http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=92

Re: Firmware upgrade loses all burner function...

Just to bump this up after being moved from the Philips standalone recorder forum...

I am having the exact same problem with my LiteOn SOHW-1213S, recently upgraded to 1653S firmware, it's driving me bugshit, no media whatsoever, DVD-R or CD-R is recognized.

Welcome to the CDFreaks and this forum Sergio Ricardo, since this a computer based dvd burner you might want to try the following forum for the home entertaiment dvd recorder.

@ TCAS:

Perhaps you didn't see my message that the thread has been moved? However it seems as though that second post is confusing matters - I'll PM the other moderator to delete it.

Nevertheless, you may be not helping by apparently referring him back to the forum from which his post has just been moved. The Philips 824K is a PC burner and his post belongs here.
