I tried overburning some unknown media.. using mediacodec speed edit.. burn it at 8x
got it for 13 cents USD. 8:04 minutes

RICOHJPN-R01@R02 4X Imation @8X then 12X then 16X.
Stock firmware is 8X max, Benq has this pegged right.

The funny thing is I burned a movie @16X and it plays fine on the computer and the standalone!! Go figger

Burned with YUDEN000 T01 code at 8x.
Not a great burn, but still a lot better then normal!

The firmware tests the disks before burning at the start and the end. If the test result is to bad, the max. speed is reduced.
