I tried overburning some unknown media.. using mediacodec speed edit.. burn it at 8x
got it for 13 cents USD. 8:04 minutes

@Swabe - wow, nasty burn but passable. hehe, guess you can't complain to much for 13 cents a disc?

RICOHJPN-R01@R02 4X Imation @8X then 12X then 16X.
Stock firmware is 8X max, Benq has this pegged right.

The funny thing is I burned a movie @16X and it plays fine on the computer and the standalone!! Go figger

Never get this low PIe/PIf with default write strategy.

The firmware tests the disks before burning at the start and the end. If the test result is to bad, the max. speed is reduced.
