BenQ / Philips Burner Discuss, burn speed for my 1620 says... at CD and DVD Burners forum; I just ran DVDidentifier and Neroinfotools, and they both say my max burn speed is 12x. Just a bit suprised cuz shouldn't it be 16x? is there a setting or something that i missed? DMA is on on all of my drives. ASPI is installed thru Nero but not

burn speed for my 1620 says...

is there a setting or something that i missed?
DMA is on on all of my drives.
ASPI is installed thru Nero but not from my OS.

Nope. Everything is right. BenQ 1620 firmware B7T9 supports this media (MBIPG101-R04) up to 12x burnspeed.
No matter what your casing or spindle wrap says.

But there is always a solution to this. Check into this thread if you need any speed-up suggestions.
