BenQ DW800a cant read DVD+R DL - Club CDFreaks

Hi,

i've burned my first Verbatim DVD+R DL on my new LG 4163B. Bitsetting to ROM was used by the tool of alexnoe.
DVD plays fine on my cyberhome 505 and the PiPo rates looking good (as the LiteON Ltd166s shows) but any Quality test of these disks on the benq DW800a are impossible. He cant read nothing he find no disk no matter what firmware will be used.

Has anybody a helpfull comment??

800a's original specific seems no support of reading DVD+DL.
Maybe you need to flash to 822a's DL firmware, like B3KC or so.

thank you for your advice but even firmware b3kc or b3jcy don't change the reading possibilities of my dw800a.

Maybe it's a reading problem on your 800a.
My 800a can read and write DVD+R DL under B3KC or B3YC without difficulties.
