Is the BenQ DW1655 available Retail in beige?

I only see the black version everywhere.

I don't know in the u.s., but in europe yes.

Older BenQ retail versions included both faceplates and the box for the 1655 shows both. You should confirm with Newegg before you order.

What the picture on box shows is irrelevant.

More important is what's in the box , and I can't see any additional faceplate.

That is exactly why I said to check with Newegg. I have received two additional beige faceplates from Newegg that were not listed or shown. The picture is never irrelevant when it actually shows what is included. Newegg's listings are not the last word.

All of the retail drives (1640) that I saw before had a pinkish-red sticker on the side of the boxes indicating either beige or black, never both. I'd imagine it'd be the same situation as the 1655.

I just took delivery on a DW1655 Retail from Newegg and it is black.
There were no additional faceplates in packed in the box.

What did you do to get the additional faceplates?

Sorry it didn't work out in this case. The other drives where I got two unadvertised faceplates were not the 1655.

you can try to pain your bezel to beige.

my friend used to spray paint his drives in silver & they looked very good.

I bought one today at staples,and it showed black on the box but when i open it it had a baize one as well,if anyone needs the bazie i will be more then happy to mail it to you .

Puzzling.

Since Staples does not sell the Retail BenQ drive, then It more likely that what he has is a third party or rebadged. Most likely an I-O Magic.

What I purchased was a Retail BenQ drive.

Even then, that's the first time I've heard anyone comment about receiving double faceplates.

If it's available in black only why doesn't BenQ make that announcement? I don't like a company that lies to the public. It makes me not trust them for anything.

just check the box if u want to be 100% sure about colour..

I have never bought a BenQ product before. So far I am not liking this company. They show they make something. I can't find it anywhere. I get no response from them to my email.

I spoke with BenQ last week when I confirmed that they would be shipping me a BLACK 1655 and they said not to worry as they only came in black. This is certainly the last word, but it looks like it will be tough to find.
