BenQ / Philips Burner Discuss, BenQ DW1640 writing is affecting playback on DVD player at CD and DVD Burners forum; Hi guys, are you guys experiencing freezes on playback? I am. It is also slow in the writing part too. see print screen of the CD-DVD speed test. I'm using firmware BSMB.

BenQ DW1640 writing is affecting playback on DVD player

Hi guys,

are you guys experiencing freezes on playback? I am. It is also slow in the writing part too. see print screen of the CD-DVD speed test.
I'm using firmware BSMB.

That is a bad read-back test.

While you are in Nero CD-DVD Speed, click the Disc Info tab and let us know the MID.

if you have an nforce motherboard and have the nforce IDE drivers installed, uninstall them (the IDE drivers only, keep the other drivers installed as they are needed).

a few optical drives (benq included) have issues with nforce IDE drivers. i was having read problems too, and it was because of the nforce sw IDE drivers, so this might help you.
