| BenQ DW1640 Scanning help please As the title shows I have this drive and tried to do a scan just now and it seems I can't I was able to the other day and now I can't for some reason. This happens quite often too. I have even disabled anydvd thinking that may be causing an issue. Also this is trying to use Nero CD/DVD Speed. I have downloaded the CD/DVD Speed update to see the same issue. My nero version is 7.10.1.0, the only thing I have yet to try is to uninstall the drive and reboot. This is all on Vista Ultimate 64 bit. I hope I have covered the basics. This happens on my XP MCE 2005 machine as well trying to use the Liteon drive and I have yet to install KProbe just yet on that machine. Any help is appreciated. Firmware is BSRB as well.

| Re: BenQ DW1640 Scanning help please I've had that happen to me as well, with my BenQ 2000 (rebadged Lite-On 20A1P). It did about 100 disc quality scans. Then one day I tried to do one, and the option was grayed out. I uninstalled both the Nero burning engine and Nero CD-DVD speed, then reinstalled both of them, and was able to do quality scans again after that. You might try that.

| Re: BenQ DW1640 Scanning help please All done ad did several searches and reboots still a no go. Nero isn't even installed now but I have the stand alone exe for cd/dvd speed and it still doesn't let me scan. Sucks too as I was just getting interested in this for once.
