Re: benq 1650 dead?

Try an older version of Nero v6.6.x.x ver7 is known t be buggy as hell. I am sorry I don't understand Dutch so have no idea what the messages are. Can you translate please for those of us who are not able to speak any language other than English?

Re: benq 1650 dead?

Okay other people are going to need the following info for help to be given:
What is the MID of the discs used? can be found out using CD/DVD speed, there should be a copy in Nero toolkit, disc info tab.
What firmware are you using?
What exactly are you trying to do? Burn a data disk, copy a DVD/game, burn a video DVD etc.
Try again to get the error in Nero and save the error log you get. To post it copy and past the text in using code tags (go advance and the symbol) this will help those who know how to read them to help trace down the problem.

I would still get an older version of Nero anyway s v7 is known to buggy and so it is in your interests to do this for now.

Try using DVD DECRYPTER or IMGBURN instead of NERO BURN. As already mentioned post the MEDIA ID of the dvd media that you're using.

Re: benq 1650 dead?

Don't worry harry couverts, your 1650 is not "dead".

I tried al sorts of burns, audio cd, data cd/dvd. mp3 cd etc.
Here the results for an mp3 burn:
Get rid of InCD and make sure you finalize disc, DAO is the way to go.
Update your Nero v.7 crap or revert to v.6 as already suggested.
Also try with other burning applications like EAC.

Have you tried other media, or at lower burn speed when you try to burn 4MB to a 700+MB disc?

Re: benq 1650 dead?

Your drive might have a hardware fault. Anyway, uninstall INCD, as this packet writing software often causes problems.
Also nero 7.0.0.0 is full of bugs, so you better do not use this old release for your tests.

Re: benq 1650 dead?

Well guys.

It is not dead at all!!!!

Thanks to all your suggestions and tips.

I deleted incd, forever

And also found out, that Imation rewritables are not favoured by Benq.

After removal of incd and returning to Nero 6, i still had no luck burning an Imation disc. Still gave the error codes as before.

But with a Sony cd-r 32x all went smoothly.

Monday i have to get some new rewritables.

Any suggestions for good quality DVD/CD brands??
