BenQ 1620, burning DVD media at 5x its max. rated speed...

Hi all

5 x 2.4x = 12x

While cleaning out my DVD media drawer I found some old media I haven't been burning for a year or so. Unfortunally I only had two discs left.

Tried to burn the first one at 16x with fw B7V9, but all I got was a unreadable coaster (no sense error).
Flashing back to P9 did the trick at 12x...

Thanks to ala42, without him all this would have been impossible.

MID: RICOHJPN R00
Brand: Maxell, juwelcase
Type: DVD+R, 1-2.4x rated
Burned with: Nero, CD/DVD Speed
Burned at: 12x speed
Burntime: 6:43
BookType: DVD-ROM
Firmware: B7P9
Burn strategy used: RICOHJPN R03

Enjoy.
