| Able to detect, unable to open i have got a problem with my 1640. previously, i had a problem with burning my DVDs, but after reading more, decided to reformat my comp and reinstall everything. So, i first discovered a problem when the Win Xp cd didn't boot. When my xp was running, i clicked on the DVD drive at 'my comp', it notified me that some win32 program causing me to not be able to read my cd. After unabling the drive, restarting my comp and detecting the drive again, the dvd drive folder was detected but even after clicking it, the folder was empty. It didn't detect my WinXp cd. My WinXp cd is stuck in the drive, no lighted LED and I'm now unable to open the drive to retrieve the cd. I would appreciate any help that anyone could render. If it matters, the 1640 is recently purchased and today was my first time trying to burn a DVD. Please and thank yous. |
