| GSA-4080N firmware help Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum but want to thank the community for all the great info. I have this LG GSA-4080N drive in my Thinkpad and I would like to upgrade the firmware to enable dual layer burning. Please advise if this is possible and if so, where should I look for this updated firmware. TIA! |

| Re: GSA-4080N firmware help it cant be done , dual layer burnning is beyond the firmware its hardware depended too.. , usally for laptop burners you get the firmware from the laptop manufacturer site , anyway if you really gotta have dual layer burnning youll need a new burner |

| Re: GSA-4080N firmware help Only the GMA version can burn DVD+R DL at 2.4x. But yours is GSA which is retail, GMA is for another OEM hardware... There is no IBM OEM firmware for GMA models! http://tdb.rpc1.org/#GSA4080N info
