GCC-4320B LG CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive dead

I tried to upgrade my GCC-4320B drive firmware (downloaded from the internet) but all i got was a dead drive.

It's not recognized even in boot time. The message during boot drive warns that it is not detected (which is configured as a secondary master).

Is there a way to recover ?
Could someone please suggest anything I can do ?
Thanks.
Best regards,
Henrique

Same problem for me!

I've got the exact same problem, does anyone know of any way to bring this drive back to life. The eject button doesn't even work anymore.

Welcome
Have you tryed to flash back with the FW from LG?

Maybe the flasher can detect it...

If not, you have to go the hard way and use MtkFlash.

This after you found a .bin-file or extracted FW.bin from existing .exe

The problem is that having the drive plugged in causes that IDE port (master and slave) to be unrecognizable at bios post, windows, and DOS. I think that I'm pretty much screwed, does anyone have any suggestions?
