Failed Flash for GSA-H31N HH SATA 16X DVD+/-RW Drive

Hi people,

In a tight and embarassing spot. Offered to sort out a few bugs on my girlfriend's PARENTS!!! computer which were sorted, but when I offered to update everything the only glitch was the the DVD writer, an error occured during the flash. Now the BIOS and device manager don't see it. What can I do? It's running XP Pro and its a dell dimension E520. I used the the B110 driver to flash.

Re: Failed Flash for GSA-H31N HH SATA 16X DVD+/-RW Drive

I just had the same problem today. thats some pretty crappy design, a driver that can destroy someones hardware. the dell people told me i have to send it in and its covered under the warranty. still pisses me off though. it seems like a rare problem but i will keep looking for a solution.
