Hello, DirecTV is'nt what it use to be. Listen to this. I have Dishnetwork which i think is better. I have a HDTV Sat box with a 250g HDD to record HDTV. However with Dish you can take a computer Western Digital MyBook external HDD and hook it up to the sat receiver. But know how they get ya?. They format your external HDD to a non Windows or Linux OS. Which means you can't take your movies off your own HDD. Nice Huh!. I had DTV one day with contract i told them sue me. I still have there equipment ( HDTV ) boxs and boy there HDTV receivers are cheap made compared to Dishnetwork. I reported my credit card stolen and got another CC and stuck it to them where the sun don't shine. I also want to add even TV stations ( Not All Of Them ) have copy protection. Yes there are electronics that can defeat it. In U.S. it's in the NTSC format, PAL, SECAM and i can go on and on with this subject. I had a popular satellite web site a few years back. If you know what your doing and have electronic equipment like a JTAG, Epromer etc you can do wonders. But don't let DTV get on your nerves. I bet they gotcha for $105.00 for a HDTV receiver you don't own!. There nuts. Anyway don't wanna get carried away with satellite nfo here.

Greetings, -gash

I just learned of a copier called, "Dazzle", but can find no information on it. This product is made by Pinnacle however their website gives no information, except the cost.

Re: Satelilte Hookup

I made an HTPC and I run the dish cable to the dish box and from the dish box to the PC and it records. I have several progs for recording. My dish box is a Pansat.
