Satellite, Terrestrial, Cable, IP and Mobile Television Discuss, laptop<-->receiver at International Chat: Hardware related forum; I have a Victory receiver and i upgate it through RS 232 cable with keys and programs to be able to watch d+, premiere...etc. If i buy a laptop will i be able to connect it to my Victory receiver ? Some say that they have problems uploading keys, software

laptop<-->receiver

I have a Victory receiver and i upgate it through RS 232 cable with keys and programs to be able to watch d+, premiere...etc.
If i buy a laptop will i be able to connect it to my Victory receiver ?
Some say that they have problems uploading keys, software with laptop on receiver and some say that it ain't possible.
So is it possible like with normal pc ?
