Switch from Interlace to Progressive

Hi im new to this so please be patient , I bought a Dvd standalone recorder , just a cheap Tevion TDR51dv it seems to work really well . Someone (not me lol) changed the output from interlaced to progressive scan now my television has no video and i have no access to the menu on screen to change the output scan back to interlace .
Is there anyway with these units to force it back to default settings (ie interlaced) without accessing the menu via the video output
Thanks

Re: Switch from Interlace to Progressive

Most players have a button or switch either on the front or the back for just this situation. There should also be one on the remote. You may wish to read the manual.

Re: Switch from Interlace to Progressive

I read the manual front to back .. being a cheaper unit the manual is pretty poorly written . Anyway i will go over all the buttons again thanks for the advice.

Re: Switch from Interlace to Progressive

hi, i too have a problem with this...i accidentally changed the scan mode to progressive and now my dvd recorder is just showing a grey flickering split screen. If anyone knows how to change it back i would love some info because even the menu function doesn't work anymore...i can hear the audio of the channels but there is no video. On top of that there is no easy one button solution on either the player or remote ...I really need help. I only purchased the DVD recorder today aswell so this it's very agitating..why would there be such a function that can leave your player unusable with a push of a button..

I hope someone out there has a solution for me. My model is a Conia MR910D.

Re: Switch from Interlace to Progressive

There should be a mechanical switch in back of your player to switch back and fort to interlace and progressive.
