Recording - DVR to DVD

I have a Motorola Dual Tuner DVR/HDTV capable model # DCT6412III. Is it possible to transfer movies, TV shows, etc. to a DVD. Is so how can I do it? What hardwire is required? My DVD recorder is in my computer, not a stand-alone unit. The DVR has a slot for a Smart Card, but I know nothing about them. Can they be used on a PC? What would be required? I'm tryign to explore all options. Thank you for any help offered.

The only way that I know is to have a Video Capture Card in your PC then connecting your TV signal either from your cable, antenna or TV to your capture card input and record the TV signal directly into your hard drive.
