Problem with video output after changing scan settings - Club CDFreaks

HI i recently bought a cheap Tevion standalone DVD recorder it worked fine till someone changed the output settings from interlaced to progressive scan since then i cannot see anything outputted from the video output on any of my TV.s here .I cannot see the menu screen to change it back to interlaced . Do you know of any way i can read a progressive scan output or a way of getting it to load defaults so it will output in interlaced mode?
