Play MP3's on a DVD Player??

Hi.

I've decided to burn my two gazillion MP3's to DVD's. I'd like for my DVD player to play these albums. My first try was no go. While I could play the MP3 albums on my computer neither of my DVD players recognized the DVD as being something "playable". I did a little research and there appears to be some software out there that will turn CD's into a playable MP3 DVD.

However, I'm not starting with a CD. I'm starting with MP3's. Does anyone know of a way to make a DVD that will pop in my DVD player and then let me choose which MP3 album I want to play?

Thank you.

The only one I've used is Audio DVD Creator. It will do what you are trying to do but will cost you $39.95. (USD)

Another option is the Phillips 642(maybe others?), just burn the albums as mp3s on a DVD. About $70, faster, no need to convert.

It would be a lot less hassle to get a DVD player that supports reading mp3 files. There are plenty out there now and there are some very expensive models available. (The Philips DVP642 was mentioned, but personally I don't like it. There are many others though.)

I burn all my mp3's onto DVD and pop them in my Apex and they play just fine. It even gives me a menu so that I can pick what songs I want to listen too.

Re: Play MP3's on a DVD Player??

Thanks, guys, for your comments and link to the software.

In addition to my home setup I would like to play DVD's containing MP3's on my car stereo that's mounted in my motorcycle.

This is a stretch, but has anyone heard of a car stereo unit that will read DVD's containing MP3's?

Thank you!
