Which media for PS2??

Hey all im new on here and was just wondering what format does the PS2 read?

Iv read on some sites that they only read DVD-R and on other forums they say that they can read DVD+R. Im so confussed. Can someone please shed some light on this topic.

Iv burnt one disc in +R and iv had a friend burn one in -R and both dont work, even though i play burnt discs on it already.

The DVD-R was copied with DVD Decrypter and burnt with Nero 6
The DVD+R was copied and burnt with DVD Decrypter

Thanks

dont ask me how but?

a freind of mine brought a ps2 and with it he got a memory card that had a multi-region hack and that would also allow him to play all copys.
he doesnt no what`s on the memory card maybe someone else has herd of this.
personaly i would stick to playing games on the ps2, whatching films on them can burn the lazer out very quick by a cheap dvd player for whatching films.

if you've played burnt discs on it, shouldn't you already know what it's capable of reading? the general rule is that older ps2s can only read dvd-r, while newer ones can also read dvd+r.

My version 7 reads both, but i find -r to be more consistent.

So then what's the problem???? If it can only play one, why are you asking us which is the best?????

Hardware, like people are individual, just on a smaller scale. What works for one, doesn't necessarrily mean it works for another.

Hang on, so what you are saying is that your machine cannot play either? Don't you need a modchip to play backups of films?

I would edit your post if i was you

Is you ps2 chipped?

Are we talking about films or games?

What media are you using? Download dvdinfopro to find out. Or just look in dvd decryptor.

Do the discs work on your mates?
