| Insignia DVD recorder© protection Hi, I have an Insignia DVD recorder and a trying to make copies of my CSI:NY DVD's. I am getting a "copy protection" message on my screen when I attempt to make a copy. I purchased a video stabilizer to get around the problem, but it hasn't seemed to help. Am I doing something wrong? I followed the hookup directions - dvd player to stabilizer to recorder - but it's not working. Any suggestions? I really want to make copies so my husband can take them on his business trips to pass the time. My dvd player is a sony, my recorder is an Insignia and I'm in Canada. Thanks for any suggestions. |

| Re: Insignia DVD recorder© protection Low cost video stabilizers (~$20 9volt type) will not work but a Sima CT200 or Dimax Grey should. But making a backup copy using you PC is faster and better.

| Re: Insignia DVD recorder© protection Making a backup using you PC can take less than 30mins. Using a DVD Recoder it is real time 2 hour movie takes 2 hours, without the extras.
