| DVD recorder recommendations needed I guess I'm looking for a versatile (versatile meaning the firmware can be upgraded to defeat certain restrictions  )stand alone dvd recorder (preferably with a HD) that can upconvert to 1080i.I've done a little research, but nothing that seems to be helping me make a decision. Is there a certain model that I should be looking for? Is one with a HD preferable to one without? I've got several old VHS movies that I'd like to convert to DVD, but I know macrovision would be an issue so I would want a way around that. Any recommendations from the CDFreaks world? |
