Currently looking at the following (there from Argos UK, i can't shop else where this time)

These 4 at £100
Bush DVR3003 DVD Recorder.
LiteOn LVW5006 DVD Recorder.
Goodmans GDVD306R DVD Recorder.
LG DR7400 DVD Recorder.

I can't spend more than the £150 (and i can't shop else where)

I've been seening mixed things on all these drives and its making it very confusing on which one is the better product (i've looked thru videohelp.com as well and theres not really enough reviews on the products to give a meaningfluy impression)

I'm going to be using this to record Stuff of my cable box (NTL) like Sky1,2 ch5 etc, and will either play it back on my PC or in the recorder itself.

I was tossing up between the liton5006 and the LGDR7400 but not heard good things, so i don't if to spend the extra and get a £150 one.

Any help would be appricated

If you have am antenna signal that's usable for DVB-T freeview, then the one with freeview gives you a little more scope for "record one, watch another".

Anything that does not have a DVB-T freeview tuner in it, will be useful only for AV in recording when the switchoff happens, though that's still far enough away to be about time to replace it anyway, unless in one of the very few early switchoff areas - one small place has already gone, I believe, though that may have beeen somewhere without good analog coverage in the first place.

It seems the original 2010 target will be soundly missed.
