Burning photos to DVD with Sony VRD-MC3

I have digitial photos on an SD card, they are in numerical order, yet when I burn to a DVD with the VRD-MC3 they are not (in numerical order).

I contacted Sony tech support and was instructed to use Nero Slide show software to create a DVD that the photos would be in order.

I purchased the Sony MC3 as a stand alone.

Does any one know a way to burn photos in numerical order and with out Nero?

I do not need to add any fancy images...

If you are using only the set-top recorder, you're stuck with what it gives you.

There's lots and lots of decent slide-show type options in virtually every DVD editing and authoring software. Mostly the results are very nice, you can ad music and all sorts of stuff. Nero would be my last choice for that.

Try Picassa2, it is a free google download. You can edit photos and make slideshows. Simple to use and...did I say it was free? http://www.photo-software-77.com/

Hmm, I have Picassa. Did not know I could burn photos to a DVD with it. It will recognize an external drive?

Ricoman can you help with Picasso (2.7) ?

I created an album and able to export onto a DVD (via the Sony VRD MC3), however...
I copied the photos via the "Gift CD" - Is there any other method?

Also, even though I followed the steps on Picasso's help page, I could not get an MP3 to play in the background.

Any help on both issues?
Thanks.

You can access the pictures individually from the slideshow, just like a regular cd, or you can click on "tools" then "backup pictures" to a cd if you don't want the slideshow. Sorry, but I haven't tried adding music so I can't help you there.
