What added features or changes would you like to see when AnyDVD 6 comes out?

What does it not do that it needs to do? I don't see a problem with it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Free lifetime upgrades....oh wait. IOW, it's already damn good hence no need to mess with it.

I would like to see the new and improved AnyDVD version 6 change my 19-inch monitor into a 21-inch monitor.

On a serious note - AnyDVD does an excellent job in doing what it was designed to do. I agree with Forum Member DJMind. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Many movies have an audio sync problem when you go from AnyDVD to Divx or Xvid. Slysoft said they were going to fix this problem (even though it was not their problem). For example try to backup Bewitched to a DivX using AnyDVD? I would like to see this fix in Version 6.

But, I have been using the combination of AnyDVD and FairUse to make Divx backups and I have not seen the problem (yet) using this combination.

You have time, believe me. I just turned 33 yesterday for crying out loud! Marriage shouldn't be rushed into...trust me. Next year is our 10th anniversary.

oh trust me, i know. i was just kidding. i'm only 21! I have NO intentions of getting married any time soon. I'm graduating college this year and I'm planning on moving wherever i can find a job. once i settle down then I'll start worrying about it.

I can already see what's gonna come out of it. A lot of people with viruses. do an edonkey search for anydvd. you get more hits for anydvd 6.0.0.0 than for any other version. 100:1 they're viruses. and when the real anydvd version matches the virus anydvd version...lol

good. they deserve the viruses if they're downloading off of a p2p site.

I'd like to see a few things in Anydvd 6

1. A user-sizable read-ahead buffer - I rent a lot of DVD's, which I watch on my HTPC and get really annoyed when I get stutters/freezes part-way through due to the dvd-rom re-reading.

2. Ability to do fixvts on the fly for real-time watching! - if it can be done whilst copying cant it be done whilst watching a dvd ? - again - for watching rental dvd's - sometimes I dont have time to rip, fixvts then watch (this has a really low WAF

3. Ability to do fixvts when the likes of dvd decypter are used to copy the contents to an ISO (I think this one might be too big an ask :-) - I rip my favourite movies to ISO for convinient, stutter and re-read freeze free watching

Of course these options should be completely disable-able for those whom dont want to/have no need to use them..

What type of DVD-ROM do you have? Any good quality DVD-ROM should not have any problem reading Commercial DVD Movie Title without stutters/freezes. What software reading program are you using to view your Commercial DVD Movie Title?

In short your stutters/freezes is not cause by AnyDVD and is an indication that your HTPC has some underlying problem nor related to the AnyDVD software program.

Its caused by rental dvd's not typically being well looked after by other renters! - ie. heavily scratched / food stuffs / unidentifiable goo on the disc itself.. - mostly heavily scratched - a read ahead buffer would help in these instances. Im also afraid to admit that family members borrowing my discs also are also less than careful with them in some cases (scratches).

Im not saying its an anydvd problem (and hope I didnt imply it in my post) - I was meerly suggesting a feature that would improove my dvd watching experience

My setup is:
Its a Liteon dvd-rom (~2 years old). Im using zoomplayer 4.51 with the ms dvd navigator, dscaler5007 (video decoder), ac3filter 0.70, reclock 1.4, ffdshow (andy's 20040801a) resizing (lanczos4 to 1776x1000) and an avisynth script called limitedsharpenfaster (via ffdshow).

I think this thread is a bit ludicrous. What more can you ask for from a $39 program with free lifetime updates, that works as well, and is updated as frequently as AnyDVD? It does what is was designed to do, and does it very well. Slysoft has already added many features, and even go out of their way to always try to make it compatible with DVDShrink & Nero Recode (Which you don't see many software companies do.)
