yeah i never had anydvd open while using psl2. i don't get it though. this movie is new and it's sony... it should be ARccOS protected? also before this i tried the anydvd method with dvd decrypter and dvd shrink, both errors when trying to rip VTS_01_3.VOB (about 380 MB then i get the error). anydvd would of removed the protection if there was right, no doubt? this is the first movie ive had this kinda problem with.

i just ripped a different movie that said almost the exact same info except the movie name...

That's not arccos protected. It sounds like a badly manufactured disc. I would get it replaced personally.

He posted the AnyDVD info window information above. I'll paste it here:

Summary for drive E: (AnyDVD 5.6.3.1)
Drive (Hardware) Region: 4

Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (opposite)

Video DVD (or CD) label: ARE_WE_THERE_YET

Structural copy protection not found.
Found & removed Autorun from Video DVD!
Bad sector protection not found.
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 4!

So as you can see that shows the label, whether it has CSS protection or not, what video standard, and any structural protection(puppet lock, arccos, ripguard, etc) found. It's always good to check that window.

Where it says "DVD structure appears to be correct. Structural protection not found." it would instead say "Disc appears to be Arccos protected. Structural protection found and removed."

Thanks, Gurm. I got busy at work and wasn't able to respond further. But yes, it'll say Structural Protection Found and Removed (PuppetLock, Ripguard, ArCCOS, etc) instead of Structural copy protection not found.
