Just to add my two cents worth. I'm having the "Trial Period Expired" issue also. I emailed Slysoft with all my purchase information and they sent me two new keys, one for AnyDVD and one for CloneDVD.

I still get the same error.

So, there must be something going on with the validation routine, i.e. blacklisting keys that are suspect as pirated and some of us are caught up in the process.

I recieved a response from my initial request for support within the stated 48 hours so they are responding to requests, I guess we just have to be a bit paitent.

I suspect I'm caught up in this because of the number of times I have rebuilt my workstation as part of a testing program and perhaps the count of registration of my valid software triggered the blacklist???

Paitence is a virtue...when you are legal....

do you have any registry programs installed or a firewall like zone alarm, as these can make the keys not work

Only the XP Firewall and I tried registering with it turned off.

No
the current SS reg scheme has no activation and potentially could be installed in an infinite number of PCs
reg keys are blacklisted when they are discovered on the internet or some-one tries a refund scam
You are having some sort of software conflict
Could you run a freebie prog called Hijack-this and post the log
this may help to see what is running

Well I will be ***.

After your comment I tried the install on my other boot partitiion, Vista RTM and what do you know, it works and with my original key.

Hmmmmm....

I will have to think about this one a bit, because I have rebuilt my workstation several times over the past couple months and each time I reinstall AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 with no issues.

So, what have I done differently this time. The only thing I can think of is that I now have a FAT32 partition where I keep my software and AnyDVD and CloneDVD keys. Could this be the issue.

I will copy the keys and software over to the XP partition and try to reinstall again and will update shortly...

Thanks for the response and making me think and finally trying to install on Vista...

i don't think it matters where your keys are kept for registering, as they will find the right place to be on their own. have you tried register anydvd throught it's self. start>all programs>slysoft>anydvd>register anydvd and browse to your key

Well I went back into my XP partition and tried to register and it gave me the "Trial Period Expired".

So then I went back into my Vista partition and now the AnyDVD that I just was able to register is now showing me the "Trial Period Expired" message.

Do you think the fact that my workstation is a triple boot (Vista, XP, Ubuntu) has anything to do with it. This is another change that I have made since AnyDVD and CloneDVD stopped being able to be registered.

I also tried registering through the register program that comes with AnyDVD, still same error.

I really think you have done all you can now through the user help system So I would do this :

If your key(s) don't work
Please contact Slysoft/Elby directly as no one here can help you".
When you contact Slysoft/Elby about your keys not working Please provide the following info...
1.) Your Serial #
2.) your confirmation E-mail receipt
3.) and how you paid for the program

Thanks. I have already contacted Slysoft/Elby and in fact they provided me with new keys. Unfortunately these keys didn't work either and I have pinged them again for additional assistance.

For the life of me, the only thing I can think of that is different than the past dozen times I have rebuilt my workstation and reinstalled AnyDVD and CloneDVD is the "triple boot" capability that I configured.

Perhaps Slysoft/Elby is watching this thread and can do some additional testing with a dual boot system, if they think that is the issue.

While I'm waiting for Slysoft to respond to my issue with the "Trial Period Expired" problem I was wondering if anyone else has successfully registered AnyDVD and CloneDVD on a dual or triple boot workstation.

I'm still trying to figure out why I can't get my registration key to work, nor the new keys that Slysoft sent me yesterday.

Re: Update anydvd 6.0.9.5

I am new, and not a real techie, but here goes. I lost my keys (and everything else on my computer) and am hoping Slysoft can find them for me, but in the meantime, I downloaded AnyDVD 6.0.9.7, the newest one. I was trying to copy "V for Vengeance" and get "AnyDVD is disabled for Drive E:!" Also for J Drive, but I don't have a J drive. I looked around at the FAQS and tried setting it on Safe mode- no change. I have Windows XP and maybe the new changes for Vista are the problem? I am going searching for a new Driver for my DVD drive while you read this lengthy post.
