| Unexpected. I compiled some home movies on an authoring programme yesterday and the total size was 5.9 Gig. Although this programme has it's own burning facility, it can't compress files. So without thinking I just loaded it in to Clone DVD via the "write existing data" section. After about half way through burning, I thought, hang on, this is just a "load and go application", I bet it fails as it's too big for a 4.7 Gig disc. Well, it worked! Wow, I had no idea that Clone DVD compressed files to fit in this part of the programme? Did the authoring programme miss read the size, or is this how Clone DVD works? |

| Re: Unexpected. I never actually set the target size, as it never let me in this section, unless the same setting is for all the sections? Whatever, am I chuffed or what! Thanks Slysoft and Razor1982 for the post. what a brill programme. If all software was as good as this and as well supported, it would make computing soooooo much better! ![]() |
