Trial period has expired

I'm running XP64 with a registered copy of Anydvd ver. 5.1.1.1
When I try to install version 5.2.2.1 I get a message saying
my trial period has expired. I've tried uninstalling the
old version before installing the new one even though I never
had to do that before.

Thanks

Contacting SlySoft support might be a good idea. When unsinstalling you said you want to keep your registration data, didn't you`?

Could you please be more specific? When exactly do you receive what message? During installation or after the reboot?
Have you tried to unsinstall, reboot, install, reboot?

Try this. It will remove AnyDVD from registry. Has helped me in the past, with trial expired errors.

Thanks for the "unregistration" zip file, I'm just not quite sure how to use it, could you please give me a little bit of instruction...

@ Lyster,

Welcome to the Forum.

Perchance could you explain exactly why you need this un-registration file?

Best Regards,

1)Try to unistall the latest version of Any DVD using AnyDVD uninstaller.
Try to remove the Slysoftfolder from Registry *HKEY_CURRENT_USER & HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
3) Remove Slysoft folder from C:\Allprogram
4)Reboot the computer
5)Install AnyDVD5.2 or so with your S/N.
6) Reboot again

May be that would help.

TO ANYONE RECEIVING THE "TRIAL PERIOD HAS EXPIRED" ERROR

Do as mentioned above and first uninstall the program. Remove any existing folders or registry keys that are associated with the program.

This next part is extremely important. None of the above ever worked for me but this did the trick. It appears that when you do get this error for the first time, AnyDVD creates a file in your Windows profile so if you try to reinstall the program and then run it you will still receive the error.

First, make sure in your Folder Options in Windows you have Hidden files set to View, and also show Hidden Operating System Files.
Next, navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\*YourUserName*\Application Data and delete the Slysoft folder!
REBOOT!

Next, install the latest copy of AnyDVD and when the setup finishes, register it with your registration key. Reboot like normal and the program should run as long as you did everything as mentioned above.

Good luck!

Re: Trial period has expired

I am having major issues with DVD Region+ CSS Free.
My trial period ended and I want to uninstall it and I am told I cannot thru my Control Panel. Every time I initiate Microsoft Media I get their logo and a prompt to purchase, TWICE. and a trojan message from McAfee.
Who are these leeches?

First you need to remove the trojen. Then reinstall the proggy and do the registration as saved from the email from slysoft and all is good. I would rund antivirus and spyware proggy to remove any viruses and spyware.

This isn't necessary if you own a legitimate key from SlySoft.

The ..... (fill in a curse word yourself) "DVD Region+ CSS Free" surely isn't from SlySoft.

Yes it is if you had previously had the trial version and then buy a registered copy later. I know because I had this exact problem.

My post was targeted to people who own their copies of AnyDVD because the first few posters sounded like they were owners.

Goldtoes –

Are you aware that SlySoft Technical Support disagrees with you?

Before suggesting that Forum Members edit their Windows Registry you should be fully aware that SlySoft Technical Support does not advise taking this action. It has been posted by SlySoft (James) that using the Official AnyDVD Uninstaller is all that is necessary to remove the AnyDVD Software Program from the Operating System. There is no need to delete any registry entries. Below are SlySoft Technical Support (James) comments on this topic ->

As a matter of fact - the demo version must be installed to install the key:

This won't work if you uninstall the trial version before...
