Works fine with DVDFab platinum, or at least it does with me.

Re: Talladega Nights

I've had the same problem ripping Talladega nights ( in region 2) than ripping Ultraviolet: if I have anydvd activated and I want to play the dvd, it starts directly playing the movie without showing the menu. If I rip Talladega nights with anydvd riper, the effect is the same.
Slysoft, in another thread, told me that a pgc in a bogus title set is played first and the pre commands in this pgc sets a variable and jumps back to the first play program chain.
Will a future version of anydvd fix it?

Re: Talladega Nights

Webslinger it's not a ripping problem: if you put Talladega nights ( R2) in the dvd player, you see the sony logo and then the main menu. if you play the dvd in the computer with anydvd activated, you see directly the movie.

1. Right click fox on the toolbar

2. Select "settings"

3. On the left, select "Video DVD"

4. On the right, either unselect "Remove annoying adverts and trailers"--or try switching to "jump directly to title menu". Make sure "jump directly to main movie" is not selected.

I'm guessing you don't want the movie playing first on your computer.

Edit: Ok, nm. I just found the old thread you mentioned.

AnyDVD completely removes the bogus title set so it decides to play something else first. This was the easiest and fastest method to crack this protection, and it doesn't do any harm (you can always jump to the menu using the menu button on the remote). A future AnyDVD version will provide a better solution.
According to James this issue will be addressed in a future update. /shrug

If you're asking for a specific date/time when this will be fixed, I have no clue.

I addressed this problem today.
Please try this beta version, it should fix the navigational problems with Arccos discs once and for all:

Re: Talladega Nights

James does this fix the bug I reported concerning Field of Dreams R4?

EDIT: Thank you. This version does act different with AnyDVD now. It's reporting a few move problems. Anyway, you've got the ifos there. Thankyou!

Not yet, sorry. You still have to disable the option to remove "copy protection based on unreadable sectors" for this disc.

Re: Talladega Nights

I am not able to back this movie up. At the 99% completion level, I get an error, "Too many navpacks!" I am using 6.0.9.9, Pioneer 108D, using Nils modified firmware (I believe it is 1.20), on a Windows XP SP2 box.

Who gives this message? AnyDVD ripper? Don't use it. Use elby CloneDVD to rip.

Using AnyDVD 6.0.9.9 The movie I am ripping is the latest, unrated WS version.

How are you using AnyDVD? AnyDVD by itself doesn't do much.
Use elby CloneDVD2 to rip the files to harddisk if you need.
