what media do you use?
Now see zaq, 'there' is something insightful and I would agree with wholeheartedly!

@Captain James,
if you did full disc, that's like 43% compression and if you burned it to poor media, you'll get poor results like what you described.

I know that AnyDVD with either DVDShrink or 1ClickDVDCopy did a beautiful job when it is movie-only (no compression), because that's one of 4 ways I test copied this DVD.

DVDFab (movie-only) and RipIt4Me (movie-only) was the other two ways.

All great results.

Re: Talladega Nights

It was only choppy at the very first, BEFORE the movie itself started. The movie looked GREAT!!!

With DVDFab Decrypter, my computer just totally shut down!!!
With DVDDecrypter, I receive the error message below:

Re: Talladega Nights

No way DVD Decrypter alone can rip this movie.
I understand Anydvd works, as well as Ripit4me.
(Also, thought Fab was supposed to work, but not sure? Are you using latest version 3046 beta?)
Good luck.

Thats a good idea, I backed up this movie with CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD 6.0.9.5 and had no problems. I used Yuden000-T03-000 media and burned @ 8X.

At 43% compression all the extras, logos, warnings probably turned out worse than the movie itself because they originally began with lower bitrates to start with.
But I would still recommend against 43% compression. Perhaps it was acceptable to you but I test copied full disc using 1 ClickDVDCopy & AnyDVD and even the movie was not up to acceptable standards in my viewpoint.
Movie-Only using 1Click or DVDShrink and AnyDVD turned out an extremely crisp video.
If you really want to do full disc, I'd suggest DVDRebuilder as Nighttran suggested or go to duallayer discs.

DVDFab 3.0.4.0 got this movie done, movie-only, no problems whatsoever.

Thank you.
I am New to this Forum and have been experiencing a specific problem with this movie backup copy and others mentioned below.

Specifically, the Commentary cannot be Turned Off ???.

I am using the latest version of AnyDVD and Clone DVD. The Commentary stays On - Even if I copy without subtitles, menus, previews.....

I have experienced the same problem with MI3 and Syrian Bride.

Any help with this will be Greatly appreciated

Thanks

Re: Talladega Nights

I am using AnyDVD 6.0.9.5 and DVDFab Decrypter 3. I tried it and once again, my computer went into "hibernate" mode or something. I couldn't get it started back up again so I had to use the power switch on the tower to shut down and start back up!!! I've also tried AnyDVD with DVD Decrypter. I usually use DVDFab and DVDShrink for my movies, but Talladega Nights is giving me trouble. Should I be using a different program with Shrink?

The most secure method is using AnyDVD & elby CloneDVD2.
If you want to use Shrink to compress, rip to harddisk using CloneDVD, compress with Shrink, burn with CloneDVD.

Re: Talladega Nights

OK everthing worked this time, under DVD Viedo settings, I checked the option that says; "Remove annoying adverts and trailers". The entire movie works now.

AnyDVD works just fine with DVDShrink alone..

Why would you need to rip it to the harddrive first using CloneDVD W/AnyDVD?
That's a very mis-leading statement.

I too found that, at least with Talladega nights, it was necessary to choose this option to get successful backup (used anyDVD 6.0.9.0 along with Clone DVD2.

Re: Talladega Nights

I'm having a different issue with Talladega Nights. Running registered version 6.9.0.5 of ANYDVD and get this message:

Warning
Failed to read DVD
1. dirty media
2. damaged media
3. drive is a region locked RPC2...
4. your drive ins an RPC2 drive....

Brand new disc, seems to read and play fine with ANYDVD closed. No problem with other DVD's. Same issue (without error message) with Talladega on a different system with earlier version of ANYDVD.

Any ideas out there?

Re: Talladega Nights

Try cleaning disc with alcohol.
If that does not work, exchange disc.
BTW, what region are you in?
