I just installed AnyDVD on my P4 3.2 Northy system. It works great ripping movies. However I just went to burn a backup and when I opened Nero my network connection dropped? If I close Nero it comes back up? I know it has to do with Anydvd because I haven't ever had this problem until now.

Any ideas? Is there a driver conflict with AnyDVD?

Just a wild guess. Do you have DVD43 installed on your system?

Nope I don't have DVD43 installed.

Why do you suspect AnyDVD? AnyDVD has nothing to do with your Network connection.

There was no problem until I installed AnyDVD. I hadn't installed any new programs in months. What else should I suspect?

The stange thing is after a min or so the connection re-estblishes itself even with Nero open. I suppose the only way to pin to AnyDVD is to uninstall it and see if the problem goes away. I'll do that later tonight and see.

You could try to disable the automatic update check in AnyDVD, this is the only "net related" part of the program. You can find it under "Settings->Program".

Well I just updated Nero to 6.6.1.8 and the problem seems to be corrected. My guess is during AnyDVD's installation it must have altered a file somewhere?
