star wars 3 now shows as protected

ifo`s are now on the way to slysoft however the rental version of starwars shows now as a protected disc. both of them in anydvd as structural protection with chapter jump now.

All other versions of anydvd uptill version 5.5.4.1 show it as regular media?

Summary for drive F: (AnyDVD 5.5.4.1)
Drive (Hardware) Region: 2

Media is a Data DVD.
Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (opposite)

Video DVD (or CD) label: STAR_WARS_EPISODE_III
Media is CSS protected!
Video Standard: PAL
Media is locked to region(s): 2 4!

RCE protection not found.
DVD structure appears to be correct.
Found & removed structural copy protection (Chapter Jump)!
Found & removed Autorun from Video DVD!
Found & removed 1 bad sector protections!
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 2!

slysoft can you check it and see if it some hidden weird protection as a few people reported weird backup problems with it.?

Or is this some new thing added?

Hi
A small rental shop by me closed this week, selling all its stock. Of which I purchased Star Wars Return Of The Sith. Backedup no problems region 2 (UK).
I'd previously backed this up using an earlier version of AnyDVD.

Thank you for the IFOs. I believe that AnyDVD is wrong and makes a mistake, there is no "Chapter Jump" protection on this disc. Until this problem is solved you should disable the option to "remove bad sector protection" for this disc.

Yes! Problem with backup "EPISODE III" and AnyDVD 5.5.4.1!

Rollback to 5.5.1.1 to backup with success...

Please SlySoft do SOMETHING *Quickly*...

Re: star wars 3 now shows as protected

@tru:

Done "remove bad sector protection" in 5.5.4.1 but the ripping process was of 48 Mins!!!

With 5.5.1.1 was *only* 15 Mins!!!

AnyDVD 5.5.4.1 was a real mistake with EPIII...

Come on dear SlySoft do a patch!!! You' re the Best!

Re: star wars 3 now shows as protected

Please try http://static.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD5551.exe
or http://sandbox.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD5551.exe

5.5.5.1, 2005 11 20

- Fix: With some discs (e.g., "Star Wars III") AnyDVD detected the
"Chapter Jump" protection, even if this protection was not present.
This could cause defective copies.

Backed my copy up region 2 using AnyDvd 5.4.4.1 and Clone Dvd 2.8.5.1 no problems whatsoever with playback on any of my household Dvd players.
