AnyDVD Discuss, Sony DVD drive will not read discs after installing AnyDVD at Copy Movie forum; I have just reformatted my machine (due to an array failure, but that's another story) and then reinstalled everything with no problems. I currently have 2 dvd drives in my machine, one which is just a reader the other a burner and reader, both of which where working fine.

Sony DVD drive will not read discs after installing AnyDVD

I have just reformatted my machine (due to an array failure, but that's another story) and then reinstalled everything with no problems.

I currently have 2 dvd drives in my machine, one which is just a reader the other a burner and reader, both of which where working fine.

I have just installed the latest version of AnyDVD from the site and used my registration code, and now my burner will not play discs. The drive is a SONY DVD RW DW-D22A. Is it possible to get hold of a previous version so I can use my drive again? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: Sony DVD drive will not read discs after installing AnyDVD

Enabling 'safe mode' in AnyDVD preferences seems to resolve different issues with systems using RAID arrays.

Re: Sony DVD drive will not read discs after installing AnyDVD

@ Annaleria,

Welcome to the Forum.

The current AnyDVD v5.9.4.1 version is stable and error free. There is no advantage of seeking an old outdated version of AnyDVD.

Have you explored activating AnyDVD’s “Safe Mode” as suggest by Forum Member brokenbuga?

Best Regards,
bjkg
